This is my FIL's birthday card, his birthday isn't for another couple of days but as he's not a computer person I think I'm safe posting it on here!
The stamp is a Graphicus Member's Guild stamp, yes another tree stamp! I first saw this one on their Challenge, which Phree won: http://inkstainsurvivor.blogspot.com/2008/07/three-challenges-one-card.html - what a wonderful card. The stamping positive/negative images idea came from the GG newsletter and is great because I now have two cards for the time spent on one. Theirs was a stark, stunning, black and white but I found I didn't have white embossing powder, so I went with a green Adirondack powder and black. The greens don't match enough to be a true positive/negative image but I still like it.
I decided that it would work well with the Secret Crafter's challenge for this week, this is a new challenge, I've loved both their sketches so far, this is a really nice one I think.
Very artistic and so different, I love it and I'm sure your FIL will too. Thank you for taking part in the challenge.

ReplyDeleteFabuolous card, I love the way you have used the stamp, I think your black and green combo works beautifully. I do love that stamp, I made my hubby's birthday card with it earlier this year.
