This week's One Layer Wednesday challenge is to use yellow. I got out some Crafty Individuals stamps that I bought when Graphicus sadly closed down before Christmas, masked off areas of my card and got to work using brushes and Distress Ink. I used Mustard Seed and Dried Marigold for the bird card (sentiment is Whiff of Joy) and the moonlight card is Adirondack Lemonade with some Dried Marigold added. Once I read the wording under this stamp I saw that the yellows are much too warm to be moonlight! That'll teach me not to stamp out first and work out the writing lol!
Beautiful cards, its a colour I don't think I've used. My favourite is the 2nd one. Can I please ask how you've done your watermark? I haven't a clue how everyone puts them on their images. Hugs x ChrisB

ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty - and we get yellow sunsets with moons on show as well, so it didn't lookout of place for me. I absolutely love the birdy one though - can I ask what stamp that is please?
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautiful but the birds on the wire is one in a million. Simple and stunning.

ReplyDeleteTerrific cards, the stamping is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards -- love how you created the yellow backgrounds. Perfect for the silhouette stamps. Nothing like a little golden moonlight, is there? :) (Sounds so like something I would do!)
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!! Both are stunning! What a great use of those silhouette stamps. I especially love the second card!
