Jolly Holly

Here's a pretty holly fairy from Phindy's Place, she looks like she is making magic with her holly sprig, don't you think?  She's coloured with Copics and Stickles and the holly DP is Papermania, the holly berries are embossed on it.  The ribbon is coloured with Copics and I've based my card on this week's sketch at Simon Says.
My card is for:
Simon Says - sketch
Papertake - last Christmas card of the year (it may be or I may still make some more!)
Top Tip Tuesday - anything Christmas
Craft your Passion - things with wings
Mark's finest papers - make a Christmas card

Phindy's Place Challenge #85 - clean and simple

Welcome to this week's challenge, a great one for those of us who are struggling to get last minute cards made for Christmas!  I have made an almost one-layer card;  I embossed the card with a Nestie and then die cut my image and placed it inside the embossed lines.  The image is called Winter Bird and it is really quick to colour, so effective too.  There's some Glamour Dust on the snow and some Glossy Accents on the robin.  I added a sentiment from Butterfly Kisses in red and some red twine to accent the red in the image.
My card is also for the following challenges:
Shopping our Stash - lights, whites or Meljen - I chose white
Simon Says - Christmas photomontage inspiration
Stamp, scrap & doodle - holiday card

Kraftin' Kimmie - embossing
Designed2Delight - snow
Crafty Calender - cold and frosty
Dream Valley - sparkle
Truly Madly Crafty - Christmas images & colours
Hooked on Craft - winter wonderland
Crafty Bloggers Network - shades of winter
Craft your Passion - anything goes + glitter
Top Tip Tuesday - let it snow
Celebrate the Occasion - Christmas no green
My Mum's Craft Shop - traditional Christmas
Crafts & Me - winter snow
Creative Belli - winter & Christmas
Pixie Dust Studio - glitter and bling
Papercrafting Journey - Christmas
Crafty Purple Frog - it's cold outside
Aud Sentiments - winter holiday sentiments

Autumn Tree

Today I have another card made with those stunning tree stamps to show you, a fairly masculine card, I never seem to have enough cards for men:).  I've followed a many-layered Sketch Saturday layout, with Stampin' Up DP, embossed card, Kraft card with a stamp from the Scenic set stamped onto with, with just the trees coloured, some recycled raffia from a present and a few gemstones.
Main image is stamped onto glossy card and coloured with Distress Inks.  Background uses masking, inking with dottiness stamps, I drew in my birds with a permanent pen.
My card is for the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - tree-mendous
Sweet Stamps - lots of layers
Top Tip Tuesday - layer it up
Incy Wincy - recycle (raffia)
Paper Sundaes - Halloween or Fall (Fall colours)
Lia Stampz - use 2 stamps

A barrowload of flowers from Fred

I bought a pack of papers by Memory Box called Brioche which I've fallen for in a big way, here's the first of a series of cards I've made using them.  It uses the Wheelbarrow digi from Fred She Said, one of my all-time favourites.  You can buy it as a digi or precoloured here, I've chosen to colour my image with Glossy Accents and Copics.  Oh, just a hint, wait till you see the new release from FSS, some amazing images coming soon...

For Fun Challenges - lots of flowers
Scrapbook Sisters - 2 ribbons, a flower, a brad
Papertake Weekly - anything goes

Top Tip Tuesday Challenge - Thank You!

Welcome to another Top Tip Tuesday, this week Elaine has a fabulous tutorial showing you how to make a little gift box and the theme is Thank You.  I've made a card using an adorable Joanna Sheen decoupage of two little girls at the seaside.  I like to cut out decoupage when I'm watching telly, but I'm really bad about assembling them into cards!  I based my card on the sketch at Crazy for Challenges, adding some My Mind's Eye stripy cardstock, an embossed panel and a sentiment.  It's an unusual card for me, it has neither stamping nor colouring, but I hope you like it:)

My card is also for the following challenges:
Crazy for Challenges - sketch
Crafty Emma - children
Cute & Girly - cute and girly
My Partner in Crafting Crime - layer it up
Crafty Cardmakers - spotlight on decoupage

Top Tip Tuesday Challenge - Show Me Those Buttons

Good Morning and welcome to this week's Top Tip Tuesday Challenge!  This week Samantha has a fabulous tutorial on altered buttons for you, be sure to visit the blog and check it out.  I learnt lots from it and can't wait to try out some of the ideas.  You can alter buttons for this week's challenge or you can simply use buttons, as I've done here.  I used a Pink Petticoat digi and sentiment, combined with Cosmo Cricket Material Girl DP.  The tape measure is part of a DP striped with multiple, coloured tape measures, how cool is that?  I've followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday but also made my card into an easel card, which is so easy to do with buttons to prop it up.  A couple more buttons threaded with baker's twine are at the foot of the card too.  Only drawback to all the buttons, which are "real" buttons rather than tiny craft ones, is that I had to pay extra postage to send this yesterday:).

My card is also for the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday - sketch
Kaboodle Doodle - yellow, blue, pink & green (all in DP!)
My Partner in Crafting Crime - 3 or more buttons
Squigglefly - pushing my buttons
Crafty Pad - use a digi
Creative Inspirations -easel cards
Totally Papercrafts - add buttons
Digital Tuesday - all buttoned up

Top Tip Tuesday Challenge - using up ribbon/make it girlie

Welcome to another Top Tip Tuesday Challenge!  This week Dawn has a great tutorial about using scraps of ribbon, be sure to check it out at the challenge blog.  You can either follow her tutorial or make a girlie project - oops I misread the challenge and simply used ribbon!  I've used a piece of wide lacy ribbon as well as a small piece with unusual dots on that I've been hoarding for my card.
I used a Jayne Netley Mayhew stamp from Joanna Sheen, masking it and stamping out 3 times.  The sentiment is from a Sheena Douglass stamp set.  The only colouring I've done is to use watercolour pens then Glossy Accents on the puffin's beaks, so it is virtually monochrome.  The dotty paper came from my recent Stampin' Up workshop, it was a spot prize (pun intended).
I'm entering the following challenges with my card:
Card Patterns - their 100th sketch
Stamps R Us - animals
Gingerloft - things that fly
Stamptacular Sunday - whatevah (must stamp)
Easy Craft Projects - black & white
Delicious Doodles - spots or stripes
Crafts and Me - monochrome
Simon Says - animal antics

Top Tip Tuesday - Open Challenge

Welcome to the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge again!  It seems like ages since I've had a DT posting for TTTC, however we now have new DT members and a new rota so I'll be posting projects every other week.  This week we have an open challenge, you make make whatever appeals to you, couldn't be easier!

I've made a card with a Phindy's Place image called Summer Post Office, you can also buy a Phindyville Post Offic, isn't this a fun idea.  I hope Phindy's going to build us a whole town:).  I coloured with Copics and edged with Distress Inks.  The script DP is Basic Grey and the corrugated card is recycled card bought from Stamp Attic, which is also where the twine came from.  The sentiment is Joanna Sheen.  I feel really silly, I based my card on a sketch, where two squares were offset and there was an embellie on a ribbon at the base of the card, but I cannot now find the sketch to link my card to!  I really am losing my marbles lol...  Hooray!  I found it, it is at Sweet Stop Sketches.

This card is for the following challenges:
Stamp Something - digi day
Crafty Sentiments - anything goes
Craft Your Days Away - anything goes
Sweet Stop Challenge - sketch

Top Tip Tuesday Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to another challenge from the Top Tip Tuesday Team!  This week have have a great Copics tutorial for you from Dawn, be sure to check it out!  I've used my Copics to colour a card using an image from this week's sponsors, Whimsy Designs.  It's a shaker card, with flowersoft inside the acetate panel for snow, the background that I've glued my image to is brayered with dye ink to make a scene.  Sorry for the poor photo, we seem plunged into dark and gloomy days at present.  The frame is some blue card flecked with white that I bought at the NEC, the DP is a magazine freebie and the swirl is a Marianne Creatables die.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:
Creative Belli - use flocking or Flowersoft
Paper Sundaes - let it snow
Charisma Cardz - with love @ Christmas
Creative Inspirations - create a shaker card

PS I have candy - do please join me and play along here
