Phindy's Place Challenge #55 - Two cards, one image

 

Well Blogger certainly lived up to Friday the 13th, didn't it!  I've felt bereft without it and I hope this post is here to stay :).  For this week's Phindy's Place Challenge we are asking you to get the most from your iamges and stamps:  use the same image to make two different cards or projects.  I had my image planned out, until Phindy launched a new series of images called Plump 'Uns and I just had to use "That Moment", with her stepping onto the scale with trepidation...

My first card has a paper pieced towel, Basic Grey DP, flowers from stash and a great free sentiment from Paulette at Create with TLC.  I've used Sweet Sketch Wednesday's layout.

Second card uses Prima Madeline DP,  my own sentiment, a Marianne Creatables die cut, some gems and ribbon from stash.  It is based on the sketch at A Spoonful of Sugar.

Oh Deer!

This is a card for a good friend and I really have no excuse for its lateness, life has been a bit frantic lately.  I've used an image from Tiffany's Doodles called Sleeping Fawn, this is such an adorable Spring baby!  I've followed Card Pattern's sketch and kept things fairly simple, I've recycled some ribbed brown card for the Cuttlebugged circle and to mount the computer generated sentiment.  The DP is a My Mind's Eye Christmas one from a few year's back, there are snowflakes in the background of that neutral stripe.  Colouring is Copics and Distress Inks, twine came from Stamp Attic.

When I saw this digi at Gingerloft I fell in love!   There's an odd mixture of arty, almost photographic images like this in their store and also cartoons that are not my cup of tea.  But there are some gorgeous images I couldn't resist and I took a few minutes the other night to colour this chap in with watercolour pencils.

I've roughly followed the sketch at Simon Says this week to make my card, though the image is out of proportion.  The DP is Crate Paper, I've punched out rudbeckias and given them black brad centres; the rudbeckias in the images have black Stickled centres.  Ribbon was white coloured with a honey Copic.
