Hooray it's the weekend, which means time for a new Less is More Challenge - this is One Layer Week and just between you and me I think Chrissie has made the challenge a bit too easy this week - the card is to have an inky fingerprint on it. If I had a fiver for every one layer card I discarded because of inky fingerprints I'd be a rich woman (ok I'd just have more cash to spend on craft stash but you know what I mean)!!!
Once Chrissie had explained the finer points to me I was a bit daunted, the fingerprints needed to be in the right place and random accident ones were still not good, but I came up with these two cards. First card uses my Artemio chicken stamps. The thumbprints are Vintage Photo Distress Ink and I added a bit more Distress Ink for ground cover.
Second card meant I ended up with green fingers, while 'growing' this topiary bush of thumbprints. The pot is from an Inky Doodles set and again I've used Distress Inks to ground my image.
Hope you all have a lot of fun with this one, I can recommend Vanish bars for getting ink off your hands LOL!
Anne you are a star your cards are amazing. So talented and arty. Huge well done. I was a bit stumped to be honest but now my brain's working overtime thinking of things I wish I'd tried!
ReplyDeleteI must thank you tonnes for blogging early ... I completely missed the OLC requirement until I saw yours!

How clever! Great cards, Jo x
ReplyDeleteFab cards Anne, great ideas put into inkiness !
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you on the cards ruined by inky fingerprints! Loving your intentional ones though, the topiary tree is inspired and the chickens really lend themselves to this technique - could almost doodle them instead of stamping - well in my head I could!
ReplyDeleteVery clever ideas Anne, I like them a lot. I also have those accidental finger prints on CAS cards.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs

Love the first card - so cute and the second one is so clever.
ReplyDeleteOff to find a vanish bar as I still have ink on my fingers even after a shower.
