On to the cards and we are at One Layer week, with the theme of Thank You. My first card was made using my Portrait, I cut the words from coffee coloured card and again from a gold shimmer card and embedded them into the cardfront. I added a couple of embossed lines and then some golden gems. I love this card, couldn't be more CAS...
Second card is stamped using Visible Image stamps that I bought at Ally Pally, I stamped in Shaded Lilac Distress ink and then overstamped with a dark blue Versafine, looks rather like cornflowers. The background is shaded with Squeezed Lemonade DI, the sentiment is Stampin' Up.
I look forward to seeing lots of one layer inspiration this week, don't forget to keep it CAS!

Both are lovely, Anne! I didn't realise that the letters were inlaid into the first card - really clever! Flowers and thank you always go together well :)
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Anne and thanks for welcoming me to the team in your post - it means a lot. The flowers on that second card are fabulous and that blue just pops. The first card is cool and I'm going to have to give that inlay technique a try. Sarah xx
ReplyDeleteLove the pretty cornflowers - always remind me of summmer!
ReplyDeleteLove both your cards. The first one really shows that you do not need much to make a really special card.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous thank you cards Anne, and a fabby photo, they are so cute!

Lovely cards Anne...
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty cards, Anne. And thanks for sharing the chicks, aren't they the cutest :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Anne.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you've show-cased two very different cards here - a lovely masculine one and, my favourite, the feminine floral. Very excited about your chick photo - had to call all the children over! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteBoth lovely cards Anne and the first one inspired me to have a go at a masculine thank you this week. My favourite is the flower thank you though - very pretty.
