White space isn't always white...

When I saw this week's CPS sketch I knew it was made for a clean and simple card using one of the new Fred She Said Doodledallion flowers.  I know C&S has lots of white space by definition but I reckon sometimes that space can be coloured as long as it's not been fussed about with:).  So here is my purple & gold version of white space!  DP has stitched borders on Basic Grey Wisteria and Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather, image is coloured with Copics and layered.

My card is for the following challenges:
CPS - sketch
Basic Grey - stitching
Digital Tuesday - flower power
Crafts and Me - birthday
Creative Stamp Friends - dots

  1. What a beautiful flower!! Great job on the CPS sketch and thanks for playing along :)

  2. Lovely crad and flower. Nice stitching as well. Hugs x ChrisB

  3. It's absolutely gorgeous and you, my friend, are no good for my pocket book!!! Wow! The colors and the DP backdrop is just outstanding!

  4. What a refreshing take on CAS card. This is just wonderful. I love that flower and the simple background paper is fantastic!

  5. I totally agree about your interpretation of white space. I think of "white space" as uncluttered, unembellished. I once was told that my plain COLORED background did not qualify as "white space". LOL. In my world it does! AND I think this is a beautiful card! Love the flower.

  6. so pretty I just love that flower, thank you for joining us at Crafts and Me this week.

  7. Your card is stunning Anne, fabulous colour scheme and your flower is beautiful!! Love the wonky stitching - I tried that - it was marginally worse than my straight stitching LOL.

Thanks so much for joining us at Basic Grey,
    Heather xx
