That took ages so I had a change of plan and pulled out the Lindsay Duncan fairy set, made a mask and Distress Inked inside it. It needed a bit of something else, so I added some Stickles. Then when I went to photograph it I added Stickles to most of the card, by mistake. Drat.
The next card looked great, I like the more intense colour. When I went to take a picture I realised that my mask hadn't covered all of the LH side and there is an inky margin. Double drat. At least this one will be salvageable...
And the final card is ok. No inky marks, no Stickles disasters. So why oh why will the photo only load to my blog the wrong way round? This happened yesterday when I was trying to post some of the wedding photos. Please can anyone tell me what to do to put this right? PS After rotating the image all the way through 4 turns and saving each time, finally success!
Less is More - in the frame
Annabelle Stamps - masking and sponging
Ai Factory - use something new (stamp)
Crafty Sentiments - add some sparkle
Beautiful cards, love the fairy images, such a wonderful background!
ReplyDeleteit''s so funny to read your blog.
ReplyDeleteYou made great cards, all of them, don't worry about little marks/mistakes, I too do that all the time.

This made me smile - it's so frustrating to get a mark on one of these LIM cards - no place to hide!! The fairy cards are super! I also like the window scene.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, how frustrating. I'm sure you can salvage elements of all the cards though. I love the brick window and the fairies are delightful. xx
ReplyDeleteLovely selection of cards - your "brick" border's simply fab, your last card is upside down ..... isn't it?
ReplyDeleteKathyk
Lovely cards, the first one with that stunning frame is very special. XOXO Zoe
ReplyDeleteSounds like a typical day in my craft room Anne!
ReplyDeleteDid you mean that your last card just happened to post upside down? That's odd, just try rotating it and re-post. What an odd occurrence!
The card is finally fabulous!
Thanks again.

All of the cards are lovely. I especially like the fairies - you've inspired me to get out my Graphicus fairy silhouettes stamps.
ReplyDeleteI got ink all over my projects at the beginning - i dread to think how much card was destroyed by inky fingers!
Why is that some days we are the dog and other days the lamp post?
