Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge - double Dutch

I hope you are enjyongi the gorgeous spring weather, my peonies have come out into full flower, surrounded by late narcissus and tulips that seem to have come and gone in no time.  My card today has a dramatic purple peony on it, while mine are the more common pink in real life!
The new challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon is sponsored by Fred, She Said Designs and we were lucky enough to be sent a stunning selection of ribbons to work with for the challenge, which is to use two ribbons, laces or trims.  I picked a couple of the purple ribbons and added in a purplicious pre-coloured peony from the Fred She Said Shop, you can buy it here in a selection of colours and it's also available as a digi to colour, of course.  I printed off a decoupage sheet and layered it up several times, adding some Glossy Accents as dew drops, the background is brushed with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.  I've used a strip ribbon to edge the Basic Grey Kioshi DP strip on the card and I've looped a gorgeous dotty ribbon to the left, securing it with a brad with a metal spacer charm.
My purple peony is for the following challenges:
Basic Grey - use a charm
Fabulous Friday - spots and stripes (on the ribbons)
Simply Create - time to rock the metal
Sassy Studios - monochrome
Tuesday Throwdown - use brads or eyelets

Hoppy Easter

Sweet Stop Sketches are celebrating their 100th sketch with extra prizes and a twist to the sketch of "How sweet".  I've recently discovered Tiffany Doodle's digis, many of which are very realistic drawings, as soon as I read of the twist I knew which image I wanted to use:  this is Shy Bunny.  I was unsure how such a realistic drawing would work with my Copics but all I can say is it is one of the easiest images I've ever coloured; all the work is done for you with the shading and I just reached for some earth colours and warm greys.
I cut round the image and used Pinflair to give it dimension against some stone coloured card that I dry embossed with a grassy pattern and sponged with Distress Ink.  The brown flowery DP is Prima Madeline, the background is an Artylicious paper from the Essences of Nature CD.  I used a MS punch on more of the stone card, made some flowers with a tiny sunflower punch and flower punch and computer generated the sentiment.
My card is for the following challenges:
Sweet Shop Sketches - sketch and twist
Paper Sundaes - embossing
CD Sunday - wild thing
Stamp Something - something sweet
2 Sisters - furry friends
Card Making Mamas - animals
Crafty Sentiments - animals
Sassy Studios - make your own embellishments

PS Tiffany Doodles also has a DT call out - if you're quick you can apply :)

A Place to Pause

I have completely fallen for the new image from Phindy's Place, called A Place to Pause, very beautiful, very serene.  I found it didn't need much colouring, I made the stained glass windows as vibrant as I could and added Glossy Accents to them and to the lamps on the bridge.

I saw some lovely cards on sale with notched corners but was too stingy to buy them :), so I've used a small circle punch to make my own version, measuring out on the back and marking lightly with a pencil.  I like the effect, what do you think?  The DPs are Magnolia ones that I bought last year and loved so much I didn't use them.  I've since decided this is a daft idea, stroke them, love them, then USE them is what I should do!  I've added a Craftwork Cards sentiment, some snowflakes and sprigs of leaves cut with my new MS border punch.  And that's it, pretty simple.
My card is for the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday - sketch
A Spoonful of Sugar - snow/snowflakes
ABC Christmas - winter wonderland
Creative Cottage Challenge - someone special at Christmas
ABC Challenge - H is for Holidays
Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
Sassy Studio Designs - anything goes
Paper Sundaes - let it snow
