Phindy's Place Challenge #51 - purple & teal

Good Morning and welcome to a new Phindy's Place Challenge:  this week we are challenging you to use purple and teal.  I will admit that I found this a challenge at first, but once I got my DP picked I really enjoyed it and I'm pleased with the results!  I used the image Connected Girl, colouring her with Copics and Stickles.  Sometimes I have a hard time lining up mats, I'd just like to say that I *did* intend this one to be off-centre lol!  The sentiment is Joanna Sheen, the DPs are Bearly Mine, flower is Prima and the scrolls cut with a punch.
My card is for the following challenges:
Fab'n'Funky - all spotty and dotty
Simon Says - card for a child (Post Pals, will send this to my PostPal who loves purple!)
Digital Tuesday - little women
Papertake Weekly - truly dimensional (image raised on Pinflair, flower and sentiment also dimensional)
Card Cupids - two colours only
Stamptacular Sunday - girls and swirls

A Cool Yule

I've a friend who loves everything purple and the several non-traditional Christmas colour challenges around inspired me to make a purplicious card for Morag.  I started with one of Fred, She Said's pre-coloured Christmas wreaths.  Now I love to colour but sometimes, especially when there are a lot of Christmas cards to get finished, it's great to have the work done for me:).   I added in a pre-coloured Chickadee, again from Fred, She Said that I mounted on Pinflair glue on my cut out wreath.

The main card is white pearlescent that I embossed and then Distress Inked and the smaller embossed circle is Bazzill Card.  It's hard to see but I added holographic clear embossing powder to the bird and to the berries.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:
Cards Patterns - sketch
Fresh Brewed Designs - winter/Christmas
Creative Cottage Challenge - untraditional Christmas
Crazy4Challenges - circles
Scrappy Frogs- Merry Christmas
Crafty Sentiments - Christmas

Card and ATCs - or I can't believe I don't have a "Get Well Soon" stamp!

On Saturday I finished the BQL October bag, which I can't post a photo of; I also went to meet with friends from the UKSewing group, thank you to Gill for her great hospitality. I came home with some Burda magazines that needed a new home, as well as a length of lilac mohair coat material from Diane. I sat and stroked the mohair like a Bond villain with his cat all afternoon. Not a successful afternoon for stash reduction, but sometimes a fabric calls out your name - and this one didn't even have a price tag attached... thanks Diane!

On Sunday I made a card for DS2's 15th birthday, featuring Desmond, his bearded dragon, photographed under conditions of great secrecy when Jack returned to school.

I also made these ATCs for a swap on UKATCs, they are for Alison. The dandelion is a Hero Arts stamp that is my absolute favourite at the moment, it's so versatile for cards and ATCs alike.

Today I needed to make a Get Well Soon card for Pauline, who has her hip replaced today. I have a HUGE collection of stamps considering it's not much more than a year ago that I began cardmaking, but do I have a Get Well Soon stamp? No I don't, how ever could I have missed that? So it's Warm Wishes and some butterflies for Pauline and a mental note to buy one next time I'm at Stamp Attic. The silly thing is that I was there yesterday and could have bought one had I not been convinced that I had one at home...
