I'm posting again today, because I've just found a really exciting new digital artist - called Mo Manning - here's her blog. Mo illustrates children's books for the educational market and she says business is slow at the moment. But this is a blessing in disguise for us crafters as someone suggested to her to try digi stamps, and she's having lots of fun coming up with the most gorgeous images to use that I've ever seen out there on the big wide web.
I'm going to call her work digital art not stamps; read what Mo has to say about this on Elaine's blog (in the comments under her fabulous card), interesting and thought provoking comments. The art is available on Etsy; I've got a list a mile long :), however There is a group called Mo's Digital Pencil with this lovely cat, called Sinatra, available as a freebie to try out.
I couldn't resist making a quick card with him and entering him in this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge, which calls for a Clean & Simple card. Sinatra is a lovely, detailed image who didn't need much adding, perfect for this. He's coloured with Copics and cut out with an octagon Nestie (sorry Mo, trimmed the copyright, will write it on the back, though I don't sell my cards). I've used a Woodware punch on a strip of pearlescent card that matches the yarn and matted him onto the blue. The background is Basic Grey paper from Porcelain and I've used some Inkadinkado sentiments around it. Different typefaces, same set :).
Fantastic, Anne! Love this image, and you've made a brilliant card with him!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card! Your coloring is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI found this artist today too! The artwork is great isn't it? I've got some of the other images as well, working on a card for my Dad, but going away tomorrow, so not sure if I'll post it or not. Love your card Anne, this cat image is great anyway, but love what you've done with it, Judith x
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful Anne! Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteI colored this one a few days again...aren't Mo's images fabulous?!
Blessings, Maria
Fabulous card, Anne! Now you got me very interested, I'm going to have to check that out.
ReplyDeleteThank you for correcting me in my tutorial, I wasn't sure about some of the words, as I don't ever use them. It took me longer to write all that, than to make both of the cans.lol
Hugs, Vanja
This is really lovely Anne. Sounds like you've been having a lot of fun.
