This week at "Less is More" we have a fun sketch for your inspiration. My first card is mostly diecut against a smooshed background. I've used a SU Botanicals die to divide my card with a Memory Box birdhouse and a Little Clare sentiment. Cute house, isn't it.
I'm entering my card for Simon Says - anything goes
My second cards uses a super stencil that I bought at Portsmouth stamping show last year from Stamp Hut, unfortunately I've lost the packaging, can't remember who makes it. My Distress Inked creepers were going to other way up, as weed, with a fish swimming through. But I seem to have a lack of fish stamps so one of those stalwart Crazy Birds stepped in instead. He's Copic coloured then cut out (I don't have the dies to match) and the gold embossed sentiment is Whiff of Joy.
Love them both Anne. Those leaves remind me of a willow tree. Made me giggle re the fishes but great idea!
ReplyDeleteThese are fab. I love the die cut edge against the smooshed background - so effective. And the stencil works perfectly as foliage against the Crazy Bird! How neat is your fussy cutting?! Wow!
ReplyDeleteGreat Lim cards xx Jan
ReplyDelete2 fun and super takes on the sketch Anne, loving that vibrant BG and die-cut border on the first and I just can't get tired of those crazy birds. Have a great week. Sarah
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards Anne, I love how you used the leaves to create the oblique part of the sketch on your crazy bird card.. looks terrific!

That die cut looks fabulous against the blue - so crisp! I always love your crazy bird designs too. The leafy background is just perfect for him :)
ReplyDeleteLove this bird...terrific colors!
ReplyDeleteObie śliczne kartki. Mam kłopot z określeniem, która mi się bardziej podoba.
ReplyDeleteDziękuję, że odwiedziłaś mój blog.

Such super inspiration Anne. The vibrancy of the blue against the white on the first card is wonderful. However....I absolutely adore that soft willowy-type stencil on the second card. That one has caught my heart. xx
ReplyDeleteTwo fab cards, Anne. I love the way you used the foliage to create your diagonal. The stencil is Mini Moving Vines by The Crafter's Workshop, I bought it earlier this year at the Sincerely Yours show and used it upside down on my turtle card here http://neetandcrafty.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/clearly-besotted-may-release-cool-dude.html
ReplyDeleteLoving that blue shade on your first card too, beautifully vibrant xx
Fabulous cards Anne! The little bird house is so cute and I love the crazy bird.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
