Papertake has a simple but effective sketch from Dawn this week.
I wanted to use two new stamps I got from Lavinia Stamps last week at Make It and decided to make a brayered background to stamp onto. I used Adirondack Stonewashed and Lemonade inks to colour the card and stamped the thistle and teasel on using Adirondack Aubergine. The background papers are from the Stamp Attic.
Decided the card needed a little extra something and used Stickles. The nozzle was blocked so I squeezed gently. Nothing happened. Squeezed again, nothing. Squeezed it a third time and there was a LOUD pop, the nozzle flew some 10' across the room and left a glitter trail across the card (mark I), the floor and a traumatized greyhound :). Oops... Time to start again...
Looks great - love the colours you've used to create it
ReplyDeleteHey that's me. Lids and goo flying everywhere! That's funny. However your card is gorgeous. Is this the same one with glitter smear or a different one?
ReplyDeleteI have this stamp (bought at the NEC last year! LOL) and have never used it! You've made a great job on this card Anne... might have to be a copy cat I think! LOL
ReplyDeleteLovely card! Thanks for joining us for the PTW challenge! x
