Jolly Holly

Here's a pretty holly fairy from Phindy's Place, she looks like she is making magic with her holly sprig, don't you think?  She's coloured with Copics and Stickles and the holly DP is Papermania, the holly berries are embossed on it.  The ribbon is coloured with Copics and I've based my card on this week's sketch at Simon Says.
My card is for:
Simon Says - sketch
Papertake - last Christmas card of the year (it may be or I may still make some more!)
Top Tip Tuesday - anything Christmas
Craft your Passion - things with wings
Mark's finest papers - make a Christmas card

Less is More - eye colour

Happy World Cardmaking Day!  This week's Less is More theme caused some consternation; I never can decided what colour my eyes were.  In the end, OH and I agreed on greeny-blue - or was it bluey green?  The red tinge is only temporary after a late night, I've left that one out:).  This card is not particularly original, I have partly CASED a card by Chrissie like this before, but it is such a useful one to have that I've done it again. The text background makes it a bit different from when I made it before.  I've masked and inked a 4" card with Bundled Sage and Chipped Sapphire DI, overstamping it with my Impression Obsession big text stamp, using the Sage ink again.  Then Artemio trees, in Pine Needle and Olympia Green  Versafine were added after removing the Post-it notes.  The Craftwork Card sentiment, added to a Nestie scalloped circle in green, hides a sentiment that did not stamp clearly.
My card is for:
Less is More - colour of your eyes
Simon Says - anything goes
One Stop Card Challenge - just for men - I think this is a great masculine card
Oldie but Goodies - one for the boys - tree stamp is at least a year old if not two!

Diamonds and pearls

Today I've got another card made using the partridge in a pear tree set from Stamp Addicts, I've not put a sentiment on as this card uses just the tree and could be used for much more than just Christmas.  I've followed the sketch from Willow Sketchies, the tree is white embossed onto glossy card and I've brayered over it with pale yellow and green.  I've used that amazingly useful dotty stamp on my background.  Main background is white pearlised card that I have dry embossed into diamond shapes using a Scor-Pal board.  Each little junction has a clear seed bead glued to it, there are 3 dew drops in silver on there and I've added some tiny gems to the tree and then some Perfect Pearls snow, just in case it wasn't blingy enough already!  DP is Memory Box and ribbon from stash.
My card is for the following challenges:
Incy Wincy - pearls and diamonds (I have diamond shapes in my embossing)
Creative Card Crew - anything goes
Partytime Tuesday - anything goes
Totally Gorjuss - as you like it
Crafts4Eternity - Christmas theme
Lilypad Cards - a resist challenge
Charisma Cardz - glitter it
Willow Sketchie - sketch

Less Is More - off centre a second attempt

This is something I've wanted to try for a while and I think it fits this week's LIM Challenge perfectly - hope the LIM ladies think so too:).   I've used my Hobby Art stamps and watercolours to make a Spring landscape with lambs growing in the field and I've extended the scene into the white space around it.  The card for the white space is from the back of a card I messed up, so it is exactly the same as the card.  I've matted both onto black and decided to leave the sentiment off in case it ends up too busy.

My card is for the following challenges:
Less Is More - off centre
Crafty Creations - white space
Party Time Tuesday - anything goes
Corrosive Challenges - use animals
Sparkles Forum - anything goes
