Clean & Simple... has anyone seen my Mojo?

I'm sure I'm not the only person guilty of downloading free digis without being too discriminating, just because they are there:). This one is however a freebie I'm delighted to have. It comes from NinaMay Designs who have a challenge to make a clean and simple card with it. I gave the digi really minimal colouring with Copics, matted it, added some Cuttlebugged cardstock the colour of the butterfly, a little ribbon and an Elusive Images sentiment stamp. Hooray at least I've managed to complete something today... I'm entering it for the Thank You card theme at I Love Digi Challenge.

I'm really struggling to get creative at the moment, last night everything I started seemed to go wrong so I had a play with some papers... Craft Stamper magazine has an article about Distress Ink backgrounds so I had a play with them but wasn't pleased with the results.
So I got out Glimmer Mists and Cosmic Shimmers and sprayed some A4 cardstock. I'm still not feeling inspired but now I have very inky fingers:)

The Keeper of the Light

Hooray for Bank Holidays, I've got two cards to blog in a day! This week's freebie from Faith at Designed2Delight is a lighthouse scene which makes a great card for a man. I have taken some artistic licence with my card as you will see; the lighthouse is working on a bright sunny day:). I've coloured my image with Copics and added Glossy Accents to the wave tops and the windows on the lighthouse. I've added a charm from Quixotic Paperie to my scene. 2 DPs are Basic Grey from Cupcake and the background one is My Mind's Eye. Brads are from stash, card candy from Craftwork Cards.

My card is based on the sketch at this week's Card Positioning Systems Challenge. and I've followed the recipe of 3 papers, 2 brads, 1 embellishment at I Love Digis. Sweet Stampin's Challenge this week is It's a Man's World, I think this is a great man's card image. Crafty Creations has an anything goes theme week and so does Anything Ink. Simple Doodles has the theme of layers, plenty on here:).

Dream Pink

Didn't think I was going to have anything finished to blog today, but here's a card using Phindy O'Neill's Flower Top Fairy Rose, isn't she pretty? I've made her for another new challenge blog, called I Love Digi - their first challenge is Think Pink. Good luck to them with their new challenge blog :). I've used quite a few spots, both the pink and the green DPs have spots on, as does the swiss dot ribbon, so I'm entering the challenge at Totally Papercrafts (lots of dots). My card is based on a very pretty sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp. This week's Corrosive Challenge is things with wings and Fussy and Fancy say Dazzle Us! There's quite a bit of bling going on with various colours of Stickles.

Image is coloured with Copics and lots of Stickles, cut out with a Nestie with her wings outside the edge of the Nestie. Sentiment is Inkadinkado, flower border punch is hydrangea by Martha Stewart. I've added Stickles to the centres of the flowers. The green DP is Stampin Up, the pink is Daisy Bucket I think.
